1892-2002
In 1892 Liverpool Football Club was born. By 1901 Liverpool FC had won the first of their 18 League championships (to date), which is still an English record today. Liverpool were reborn under Bill Shankly and the legendary boot room team. Shankly and Bob Paisley went on to serve the fans by winning the club, 6 Championships, 2 UEFA Cups, 2 European Cups and 1 European Super Cup, by the end of the 1970s. The 80s kicked off where Liverpool had finished the 70s dominating at home and in Europe. After Paisley, Fagan continued the success story, assisted by possibly the clubs greatest servant Ronnie Moran The new millennium brought glory back to Anfield under the shrewd guidance of Gerard Houllier and assistant Phil Thompson. Now with the new Liverpool FC heroes, including Michael Owen, Steven Gerard and Sami Hyypia, the future looks bright with the club set to regain their place amonst the true elite of football clubs.
